In this NDE series I am joined by 6 NDE experiencers Tricia Barker, Dr. Pamela Gerali, Peter Panagore, Jose Hernandez, Brooke Grove and Caroline Chang who all will be sharing their unique experience and what they have learned.  The week will be concluded with a panel Talk with the aforementioned speakers. 
Our fourth speaker in this NDE series is Jose Hernandez who was an electrical engineer with no background in art. Jose had an NDE in 2000 after an allergic reaction to medication. After spending six weeks in thecritical care unit and seeing psychiatrists for three years, he finally embraced his new path. Jose began creating art for meditation and his art has exhibited across the US and hangs in healthcare institutions and private and corporate collections worldwide. He is a member of the Association for Transformational Leaders. Jose co-founded Inner Immersion and Immersive Arts, to share his breakthrough Mindfulness practice and art in wellness and corporate environments. He lives in British Columbia, Canada with his wife, Anastasia, and daughter, Gabrielle, speaking regularly on his NDE and on Art for Healing.

Our third speaker in this NDE series is Peter Panagore who is a husband, father, grandfather, a two-time near-death experiencer, storyteller, ordained pastor, writer, best-selling book author, entrepreneur, public speaker, tv talent, producer, and more. I earned my Master of Divinity at Yale University with a focus on the classics of western mysticism. Peter had two  Near-Death Experiences. His first  "death" occurred in 1980 from hypothermia while ice climbing in Banff Provincial Park in Canada and again died from a heart attack in 2015.

NDE Research and Understanding with Suzanne and Robert Mays

Robert and Suzanne Mays have studied NDE phenomena together for over 40 years, although neither has had an NDE. They are particularly interested in veridical perceptions during NDEs and apparent interactions during NDEs between the NDEr and physical reality, as well as the neurological evidence of the interaction of the nonmaterial mind with the brain during ordinary consciousness, especially in language comprehension and in memory formation and recall. Their current areas of focus are on (1) NDErs’ prophetic visions of world events, (2) describing the nature of the transcendent realm as is evident in NDEr accounts, and (3) understanding the nature of consciousness as an individuated mind-entity directly interacting with a physical body and brain, as opposed to a non-localized entity spread out across all of existence, transmitting to and receiving from the physical brain.
Robert serves on the Board of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) and both Suzanne and Robert lead a local IANDS NDE Group that meets once a month in Durham.
